He was trained in the bio-psycho-social model at UCLA, School of Medicine, served his residency at the University of Washington and brings over 25 years experienced working with patients in primary care and emergency medicine. He holds a Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice. His experience includes Acting Chief of Staff at Walla Walla VA Hospital, Director of Emergency Services at American Lake VA Hospital, Director of Emergency Department Quality Assurance Program at Jefferson General Hospital, and Chair of Swedish Family Practice Quality Assistance Committee at Swedish Home Health 1995-1999, as well as his family medicine healthcare practice.
