Edward Hernaez, MD

Dr. Edward Hernaez is board certified in Family Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. He received his bachelor Degree from the University of the East, Manila, Philippines. He finished his Medical Degree from Lyceum Northwestern University in Dagupan City, Philippines, followed by post-graduate internship at Perpetual Help Hospital and Medical center, Manila, Philippines. He passed his Philippine Medical Board Exam and thereafter joined his family here in Chicago. He had his internship in Family Medicine at Southern Illinois University, College of Medicine and finished his Family Medicine Residency in University of Illinois at Chicago. He has been a Family practitioner in Chicago for more than 12 years. He has been a medical staff at Thorek Hospital and Medical Center and has worked at different medical centers in Chicago. He is presently on medical staff at Advocate Aurora Lutheran General Hospital. His interests include cardiology, hypertension, diabetes, psychiatry, pediatricsadolescent, obesity, geriatrics, gynecology,smoking cessation, and preventive medicine.
