John Brummer, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Brummer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He then completed his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Brummer continued his training in residency for the next four years. His first year was spent at Wycoff Heights Medical Center, an affiliate of Weil Medical College at Cornell University, specializing in primary podiatric medicine. He then completed a three year surgical residency specializing in foot and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. Brummer continues to perform surgery as a clinical instructor at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. He also has surgical privelages at the Midtown Surgery Center, 5th Avenue Surgery Center and Gramercy Park Sugery Center.

Dr. Brummer is a board certified foot surgeon by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association. He has also been an active member of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association; where he is the incoming President of the New York Division of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Brummer is the former team doctor for two semi pro basketball teams, the Brookyn Kings of the United States Basketball League and the Harlem Strong Dogs of the American Basketball Association. He continues to treat competitive athletes specializing in sports medicine and podiatric surgery. Dr Brummer also specializes in Dance medicine treating dancers of all varieties.

Dr. Brummer has been an active nationwide lecturer for pharmaceutical companies. Dr Brummer also has an affiliation with Steps Dance studio treating dancers and keeping them performing day to day.

Dr. Brummer has appeared on televison shows nationwide broadcasts such as msnbc and has been a expert commentator for the Ceslie show for Mercedes Benz NYC Fashion week. Dr Brummer has appeared and done interviews on numerous nationwide radio shows . Dr Brummer has been published in multiple nationwide magazine publications including Maxim magazine, Real Simple and Point Magazine. Dr Brummer has also had published articles in multiple international medical journals including the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association and in Podiatry Today
