Dr. Chang is naturopathic primary care physician. She attended Bastyr University for medical school while concurrently completing a year-long internship at the Institute of Functional Medicine. In Fall 2016, she completed a 160-hour clinical advanced mentorship program with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at Seattles Swedish MS center, University of Washington Neurology, and Virginia Mason Neurology, and Seattle Integrative Medicine. Her training while in medical school included rotations at UW Diabetes Center, Swedish Family Medicine, and Virginia Mason coagulation clinics. Prior to beginning her doctorate, she worked as a clinical exercise physiologist in hospital and outpatient settings working with patients with advanced cardiovascular disease and diabetes. She holds several certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association. Her clinical interests include diabetes management and cardiovascular disease, multiple sclerosis, hormone imbalances, and weight-loss therapies. In addition to her residency at Eastside Integrative Primary Care she works part-time as the Research Coordinator for The Institute of Functional Medicine in Federal Way, WA. She believes in a collaborative relationship between doctor and patient in order to achieve health goals.
