Greeting from Dr. Habib. I am a physician certified in American Board for Internal Medicine and American Board for Vascular Medicine. I completed my undergraduate education and early post graduate training in Pakistan. I believe practicing in developing world had made to use my clinical skills lot more than relying on excessive testing. I then moved to Ireland and completed MRCP Member Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. In Ireland I was trained in general interventional cardiology and also served as senior lecturer in cardiology with Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. Preventive medicine had always been my interest and my Irish training became basis of my interest and reason to avail further training in vascular medicine after finishing internal medicine residency in 2010 in Boston Massachusetts. Since then my focus has been internal medicine, preventive medicine and vascular medicine. I have also continued my interest in teaching and training and serve as clinical instructor with Tufts University School of Medicine for Tufts Medical Students.
While practicing vascular medicine, unfortunately, I had seen many cases of infective endocarditis due to intravenous drug use that I had developed an interest in addiction medicine. Lately, I had been actively seeing addiction medicine patients in only level 4 inpatient detox center in Boston and played an important role in starting mother child addiction treatment program for pregnant women and young moms in hospital. I have always believed in treating my patients as I would like family members be taken care of. Overall I believe in compassion and continuum of care.
Information technology and especially its use in healthcare had always been a side kick for me but due to Covid 19 pandemic we have converted all our visits to virtual visits by using telemedicine platform where family members can be in same video consult. Children of our senior patients love this feature because they can not visit their elderly parents due to social distancing but puts them at ease by being "with parents during this doctor visit" sometimes from other side of the town or other side of the globe.
We have increased our availability during Covid Pandemic and here to help. Do not hesitate to schedule an appointment online or text us 978 666-4200
