Abubakari Welle, MD

Dr. Welle completed his undergraduate studies at George Washington University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He went on to Eastern Virginia Medical School EVMS at Norfolk, VA to pursue his medical degree. He did his 3-year residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Medical College, Queens and completed a fellowship in Geriatrics at New York Methodist, Brooklyn.

Dr Welle is currently a hospitalist and a teaching attending at Washington Hospital Center. He has been with the hospital since July, 2009. He was also a part of the Hospital's Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
