Hello, and welcome! My name is Andrene Thompson, and I am a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered healthcare. My journey in nursing began over 20 years ago when I discovered my calling to help people live healthier, fuller lives.
I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing from Tulsa Community College and continued my education by completing a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a focus on Family Practice at Frontier Nursing University. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Oklahoma State University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Oral Roberts University. I am certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board and licensed to practice in Oklahoma. I have also obtained a Medical Reimbursement and Electronic Billing Certificate from Tulsa Technology Center and am a Certified Professional Coder with the American Academy of Professional Coders.
Throughout my career, I have worked in primary care and home settings, gaining valuable experience in delivering comprehensive primary care services. I assess patients medical histories, medication usage, and overall health status in their home environments. I also identify social determinants of health that may impact access to care and patient well-being, while building strong provider-patient relationships focused on trust, communication, and shared decision-making. My approach is grounded in carefully listening to each patients story, understanding their unique needs, and partnering with them to achieve their health goals.
I believe in treating the whole personbody, mind, and spirit. I am committed to empowering patients through education, compassion, and respect. Whether it's providing routine care, managing complex health issues, or offering guidance on lifestyle changes, I strive to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard and supported.
As a former track and field athlete, I enjoy watching sports, especially football and tennis, in my free time. I am also a member of World Won Family Life Ministries Church, where I volunteer as a Sunday School Teacher and participate in the True Blue Cell Group. Additionally, I volunteer at Good Samaritan Womens Clinic. Engaging in these activities helps me maintain a balanced and fulfilling life.
I look forward to being a part of your healthcare journey and helping you achieve optimal health and well-being.
