Antoanella Calame, MD

Dr. Antoanella Calame is a board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. She received her MD degree from University of California, San Diego in the highest  class rank percentile after graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from California Lutheran University . She completed an Internal Medicine Internship, a Mohs Surgery Research Fellowship, and Dermatology Residency at UCSD before going to Dallas to complete a Dermatopathology Fellowship at University of Texas, Southwestern with Dr. Clay Cockerell, the leading expert in the field.  Dr. Calame currently lives in La Jolla with her husband and son. She is the Director of Compass Dermatopathology and Poway Dermatology and spends her time practicing clinical dermatology and dermatopathology, teaching dermatology and pathology residents, and lecturing locally and nationally on dermatopathology and melanoma-related topics.
