Asif Uddin

Dr. Uddin is dual board-certified in psychiatry and internal medicine, licensed in both Kansas and Missouri. He is originally from New York City and stayed in-state to attend the University of Rochester for his undergraduate education. He graduated medical school from Ross University School of Medicine and came to Kansas City for his residency training at the University of Kansas Hospital. Throughout his medical training, Dr. Uddin cherished the relationships he formed with patients, particularly in the primary care setting. While many patients had medical problems, he quickly realized the overwhelming prevalence of co-morbid psychiatric illness in patients with medical conditions. Tragically, however, the underlying psychiatric conditions are often overlooked. This does not sit well with Dr. Uddin, and thus he decided to start his own practice to integrate his areas of expertise. In order to best serve patients, being proficient in both medicine and psychiatry is vital.
