Caroline Fernandez

Caroline Callie Fernandez is a Columbia University trained, and Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with extensive experience in medication management and psychotherapy. While Callie cares for clients across the lifespan, she has additional training in the treatment of childrenadolescents, and integrates developmental strategies into all of her client work.

Since focusing solely on medication might not address all of a clients goals, Callie strives to understand the whole individual to tailor unique treatment recommendations. Callies approach considers a clients nutrition, physical activity, social patterns, as well as unique features such as ones cultural identity and background; this is shaped by her own experience as a 2nd generation Cuban-American.

Callie strives to create a space where clients feel welcome and seen. By prioritizing active, neutral, and non-judgmental listening, Callie works to build an interactive assessment with the client's help. From this, Callie works with clients in order to come up with a collaborative treatment plan that encompasses their needs, goals, and evidence-based practices.
