About
Dr. Seifu Demissie received his medical degree from Freie Universitaet Berlin in Germany. He completed his pediatric residency at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY where he was awarded Resident of the Year. He fulfilled his sub-specialty training in Pediatric Pulmonology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD where he received extensive training in diagnosis and management of a wide-range of pediatric pulmonary disorders. He also participated in both independent and multi-center clinical trials as a principal and Co-Investigator including research in Asthma and Cystic fibrosis. As part of the team for Pediatric Pulmonary Program at All Childrens Hospital Johns Hopkins medicine, Dr. Demissie led the Asthma Collaborative Practice Committee. He also led the Tampa Bay Pediatric Asthma Center of Excellence, a clinic dedicated to providing high quality and most comprehensive service for children with difficult-to-treat and severe asthma.
