Christina Vento

Christina Vento, PsyD, MACP is a NM prescribing psychologist. She was licensed to prescribe in 2008 after completing pre-licensure hours at a rural Family Practice clinic. She was the first psychologist prescribing medications at the NM State Hospital. Dr Vento has worked in family practice, community mental health and general outpatient prescribing for teens and adults in many high need, low resource New Mexican communities including immigrants, people experiencing homelessness, Native Americans and people with disabilities. She is a former training director for the Masters in Psychopharmacology program NM State University.

In 2023 she decided to start her own practice in order to have greater control over her treatment process, founding New Mexico Psych Med Services, LLC
