Dr. Elizabeth LeFave is a highly experienced and dedicated doctorly prepared advanced practice nurse with 20 years of exemplary service in various healthcare settings. Her expertise spans across the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, primary care, and academic subspecialty settings with a focus on Asthma and Allergy. Driven by a commitment to improving healthcare for her patients, she has made significant contributions to enhancing care delivery in the Emergency Department ED, on the wards, and in the Intermediate CareIntensive Care Unit IMCICU, as well as in outpatient clinical settings.
Dr. LeFave has actively engaged with local, state, and national organizations and work groups, advocating for the importance of care continuity. Her impact on the healthcare landscape in north-central Florida is noteworthy, having provided care to hundreds of patients and emphasizing the need for equitable healthcare practices.
As the Co-Director of the Pediatric Asthma Center of Excellence PACE at the University of Florida, Dr. LeFave demonstrated strong leadership. She spearheaded initiatives to increase the number of Certified Asthma Educators at UF Health by offering preparatory courses for the certification exam free of charge to residents, faculty, respiratory therapists, and nurses.
