Jeffrey T. Ho

I was watching TV as a child and stumbled across a TV show that was showing doctors performing surgery on patients and it made a deep impression on me. Another event that sealed my faith was when I received a letter from the American Red Across stating that they can't use my donated blood since I may have had Hep A and B. Not knowing much about this besides reading in a Merck medical book that it may be a terminal disease, I went to see my family physician. I was worry sick and afraid that I will die. I don't recall our exact conversations, but I was not happy with him as I didn't get any explanation for my issues. I eventually did more book researchs this was in the late 80's so we didn't have Google yet and found that I was exposed to the Hepatitis A and B but now immune to them, so I had nothing to worry about. Having that bad interaction with my family physician fuel my desired to be a better physician in helping people understand and treat their issues and complaints. I went to college at University of California, Riverside UCR in Biomedical Science and Biochemistry. I also got my Master in Biochemistry at UCR. in 1997, I went to Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in San Francisco. I did my Internship in 2001 at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA in General Surgery. Then finally, did my residency at the Greater Los Angeles Veteran Affairs-UCLA in Physical Medicine Rehabilitation program from 2002-2005 and since have been in Private Practice.
