Jennifer Balfour, MD

Dr. Balfour was born of Haitian immigrant parents and lived most of her life in Brooklyn and Queens. She currently resides in Suffolk County but lived in Baldwin for over 10 yrs.

Dr. Balfour is a graduate of the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education in NYC and SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn.
She completed residency from Jamaica Hospital.
She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has been practicing medicine for over 16 years.
She has a passion to serve communities of those who have been underrepresented.

Dr. Balfour's training has prepared her to provide care in her specialty of Family Medicine. She has strong interests in Women's Health, Urgent Medicine, and Integrative Medicine. She has a commitment to community education, medical education, and administrative services. She is also a firm believer in patient advocacy and rights. It is always important for a patient to understand why they are getting the treatment that they are getting and to have another voice if they are not getting what they need.
