Kenneth Mitchell, M.D.

Dr. Kenneth Mitchell, an Alabama native, attended medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham followed by an OBGYN residency at Vanderbilt University 1981-1985. Moving to Pensacola in 1986, he was employed by the Medical Center Clinic in the OBGYN department until 2001 when he and his partners joined The Womens Group.

After 3000 deliveries, he retired from OB in 2005 and added a successful weight loss program to his practice, Medi-Weightloss Clinics Pensacola. His focus has been wellness through weight loss and lifestyle change. In 2007 he changed the focus of his practice to weight loss and wellness, and recently passed the board exam for Bariatric Medicine. These two disciplines of medicine continue to overlap. Hormone changes certainly contribute to health and wellness affecting fat and muscle distribution. Pensacola Wellness Solutions reflects Dr. Mitchells expertise in the options of hormone replacement therapy not only for women, but men as well. In addition, He has developed a keen interest in nutritional and supplemental strategies to health, wellness, and anti-aging. The most recent addition to his practice is providing treatment options with medical cannabis for persons in the state of Florida suffering with debilitating health conditions unresponsive to traditional therapies. Dr. Mitchell maintains his board certification with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and still spends time in the operating room while volunteering for medical missions. On a personal note, Dr Mitchell is working on his third childrens book inspired by his five wonderful grandchildren.
