Kenneth W. Wilson, MD DFAPA

Dr. Wilson is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his medical degree from New York Medical College where he holds the position of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Wilson completed his psychiatric residency training at St. Vincents Hospital and Medical Center where he was appointed Chief Resident and went on to complete a fellowship in Public Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. He has lead the Emergency Services and Consultation and Liaison Services at a number of medical centers in New York City including St. Vincents Hospital. Prior to joining Riverview Psychiatric Medicine, PC, Dr. Wilson was the Director of the Department of Psychiatry at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, a division of Health Quest Medical Practice. Dr. Wilson has a special interest in the interaction between physical health and psychiatric illness, including psychosomatic medicine. Dr. Wilson is the Past President of the Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Society and active as a Legislative Representative to the American Psychiatric Association.
