Lilian Couto-Kelly

Lilian, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who joined AAA in early 2025. She earned her Masters in Psychiatry from Maryville University in St. Louis. Originally from Brazil, Lilian moved to St. Louis in 2005 and brings a broad, strong and diverse background in healthcare.

She holds a BSN in Physical Therapy from Brazil and earned a second BSN in the United States in 2018. Lilian has practiced across medical and psychiatric settings, with clinical experience in Oncology ICU, pain management, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, and electroconvulsive therapy ECT. She also works at Gateway Foundation in St. Louis, a nonprofit, where she helps reduce recidivism by providing psychiatric care and support.

Lilian is committed to reducing mental health stigma and increasing awareness. She emphasizes culturally competent care and works to help patients and families better understand mental health, treatment options, and recovery. She focuses on Adult and Older Adults care.
