Loknath Shandilya

Loknath Shandilya, M.D., Ph.D. is a Medical Professional and is the Founder and President of Global Health and Education, Inc. Dr. Shandilya also served as a Principal Clinical Research Investigator for drug development for many Diabetes and Cardiovascular diseases. After retiring from active medical practice, Dr. Shandilya has rejuvenated his mission to educate and bring awareness regarding health-related issues, prevention and self-management of chronic diseases like Hypertension and Diabetes, etc. among poor and indigent patient population who do not have easy access to medical care in the United States and in rural India.
The prevention and care of chronic non-communicable diseases, like Diabetes, Hypertension, Heart disease, Obesity and Anemia are generally overlooked in the medically underserved areas according to the World Health Organizations WHO.
Dr. Shandilya and his team of volunteers have been organizing Free Health Screening Camps here in the Greater Richmond area and in rural Rajasthan in India for the past several years.
Overtime, GHE has come to believe that high quality compassionate healthcare to uninsured and under insured poor and indigent residents of the Greater Richmond area is needed on a regular basis and therefore, GHE has launched a Free Health and Wellness Clinic to meet those needs.
