Lonny Elson, FNP-C, leads an independent primary care practice in Flagstaff centered on thoughtful, individualized care. His approach is comprehensive and practicalbringing together clinical expertise, prevention, and an understanding of the many factors that influence health, function, and quality of life.
Lonny is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and earned his Masters in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. He brings an extensive clinical background in emergency and cardiac care, along with a foundation in exercise physiology. As a certified professional mental performance coach, he also brings a distinctive perspective on the connection between health, behavior, resilience, and performance. This breadth of experience shapes Lonny's approach to primary carecombining clinical depth with an understanding of the individual and the value of a trusted, collaborative relationship between patient and provider.
His practice encompasses preventive care and health promotion, as well as the evaluation and management of acute and chronic conditions. Lonny emphasizes informed, shared decision-making, clear communication, and care tailored to each patients priorities, circumstances, and goals.
Outside of his practice, Lonny enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, photography, and competing in dog agility with his Border Collies. A four-time National Champion, he continues to train and compete with the goal of representing the United States in international competition.
