Rick Nguyen

I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence-based care to patients across the lifespan. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of San Francisco and completed my post-masters Family Nurse Practitioner certificate at Chamberlain University.

My clinical background is diverse and well-rounded. I began my nursing career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, caring for patients in skilled nursing facilities, home health, and hospice, where I developed a deep appreciation for patient advocacy and holistic care. I later worked as a Registered Nurse on a medical-surgical and oncology unit, managing complex medical conditions and supporting patients and families through challenging health journeys. From 2023 to 2025, I also served as a clinical instructor, mentoring and training LVN students and fostering the next generation of nurses.

I am passionate about building long-term relationships with my patients and believe that education and prevention are key to achieving lasting health. My special clinical interests include geriatrics, complex chronic disease management, preventive care, hypertension, diabetes, and weight loss management. I strive to create individualized care plans that empower patients to take an active role in their health and wellness.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working out, hiking, staying active, and learning new ways to promote health and wellness within the community.
