Shuja Abbas

Dr. Shuja Abbas is a highly skilled podiatric surgeon specializing in advanced reconstruction of the forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University with a double major in Cell Biology Neuroscience and Psychology, followed by a Master of Biomedical Sciences from Rowan University, graduating at the top of his class. Dr. Abbas received his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he was inducted into the prestigious Stirling Harford DiPrimio Honorary Anatomical Society for excellence in anatomical sciences. He completed a rigorous surgical residency at Yale New Haven Health, serving as Chief Resident and becoming a member of the Yale Surgical Society. Dr. Abbas emphasizes patient education and conservative treatment as first-line care, utilizing custom orthotics, therapeutic injections, and adjunctive therapies whenever possible. For patients requiring surgical intervention, he specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques and biologic regenerative therapies such as Platelet-Rich Plasma PRP and amniotic tissue augmentation to promote faster healing and optimal outcomes.
