Stephen Malone, M.D.

Dr. Malone is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati, which included nine months at The Childrens Hospital of Cincinnati. He completed his fellowship at the Center for Orthopedic Spinal Surgery at the University of Southern California. His has trained on all aspects of spinal pathology with a particular emphasis on the treatment of sports-related spine injury.
Dr. Malone has treated and operated on athletes from the NFL, NHL, PGA and other professional arenas, in addition to college and high school athletes. Although most patients are not elite athletes, his treatment goal is a rapid restoration of the patients pre-injury level of activity through the use of conservative modalities or surgery, if required. Dr. Malone employs minimally invasive techniques as well as complex anterior and posterior procedures in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine for trauma, deformity and degenerative conditions. He is a fellow of the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
