Bill Hoskyn hehim joined the practice in June 2025. Originally hailing from Atlanta, Bill graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor's in Psychology and French. Bill moved to the Seattle area in 2005 to live with and care for adults with intellectual disabilities, which inspired him to go back to school to become a nurse practitioner. He received his Bachelor's of Nursing in 2010 and Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2016 degrees from the University of Washington. Before he became an NP, Bill worked as a home health and hospice nurse; it was a privilege to walk beside patients and their loved ones during their last few months of life. In 2017, Bill completed a one-year NP residency program at International Community Health Services, a group of community health clinics in the Seattle area, and he has been a primary care provider at ICHS's Shoreline clinic ever since. In his career as a PCP, Bill has cared for a very diverse panel of patients across the lifespan, with a special focus on sexual health, gender-affirming care, diabetes, and mental health. He is currently seeking accreditation through the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Bill also teaches at the University of Washington's Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Bill is thrilled to be a part-time provider at Peter Shalit and Associates, where he can dedicate even more of his time and energy to the queer community in Seattle. He had a rotation here as a student in 2016, and he has been a patient of this clinic. He loves it so much, he works here now! As a PCP, Bill aims to partner with his patients to optimize their health so that they can lead rich, meaningful lives and be their authentic selves. An owner of at least 40 poor-quality wigs, Bill loves attending themed parties, crafting, working out, splashing around swimming holes, and traveling with his husband Charlie.
